Why is my dog humping more and peeing a lot afterwards? Normal?

Hello, my dog is 4 years old and recently he has started humping more and when hes finished, he pees. It soaks through everything. Is this normal? Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd | Male | neutered | 4 years and 1 month old | 24 lbs

That does not seem normal. It’s possible that he has irritation in the bladder, prostate or the prepuce. Since he can’t talk and tell you if there is something uncomfortable, I recommend to have him seen by his veterinarian. The doctor will likely check the prepuce, the bladder and also the prostate for any signs of abnormality or infection. If you can record the behavior, this would help as well to show the doctor.
