Why is my dog suddenly very thirsty and peeing a lot at night?

Our 2 year old aussiedoodle (22 pounds) has recently seemed excessively thirsty and has had two indoor potty issues - once wetting the bed in his sleep in the night, and then peeing excessively and for a long time when we walk him. It is only at night. What might this be about? He has never had any issues with this before. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | 2 years old

Even though it’s only happening at night, Fiddle still might have a urinary tract infection or a problem causing increased thirst that leads to increased urination (infections, kidney disease and diabetes would be a few of these diseases). I would recommend seeing your vet - they would probably recommend checking a urine sample to start.
