What to do if my ferret has ear gunk or suspected ear mites?

I'm wondering what I can do for me ferret. I'm not sure what's wrong, maybe mites? I do not have a lot of experience with ferrets yet, and tried all day to get through to my vet to get her in. But they were too busy she said. Pet's info: Small Animal | Ferret | Female | spayed | 6 months and 23 days old

Thanks for reaching out about Naila and including a photo. The exudate from the ear is indicative of possible ear mites, infection or other problems. You are correct in that you need to see a veterinarian. You should indicate you are worried and if they can not help you, seek another veterinarian. Don't think this can wait until next week.
