What to do if my ferret has ear gunk or suspected ear mites?

Pet's info: Small Animal | Ferret | Female | spayed | 6 months and 23 days old

I'm wondering what I can do for me ferret. I'm not sure what's wrong, maybe mites? I do not have a lot of experience with ferrets yet, and tried all day to get through to my vet to get her in. But they were too busy she said.

Thanks for reaching out about Naila and including a photo. The exudate from the ear is indicative of possible ear mites, infection or other problems. You are correct in that you need to see a veterinarian. You should indicate you are worried and if they can not help you, seek another veterinarian. Don't think this can wait until next week.
