My female dog is crying during her heat. Is it rat poison?

Hello Good evening, My 10 years old Labrador-Rigeback Dog with a bitch approx From 45 cm and a weightof 45kg has her Periode At the Moment. Since des hours she has been complaining a lot and cry for no appartent reason. At the Moment our neightbours spreading Rat poison. Can These symptoms be sings of poisoning? Tour faithuly Joshua Gerhard From Germany PS. I hole you can Unterstand me. My englisch ist not so good.

Hi Joshua, No, those are not typical symptoms of poisoning but of course, I cannot tell you 100% for sure. If you think she may have been poisoned you need to get her to your vet right away. It sounds to me like she is whining/crying because she is in heat and is wanting to breed with a male. That is my best guess. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
