My cat keeps waking me up at 3 AM for food. What should I do?

Suddenly my cat is waking me between 3am and 5am to eat. Previously, he got his wet food in the evening and dry food and water available all the time. I can't find a reason for the drastic change. How should I handle this? Pet's info: Cat | Scottish Fold Longhair | Male | neutered | 5 years and 11 months old | 19 lbs
