My dog hasn't eaten in a week, is quiet, and very weak. What's wrong?

Marley has not eaten in 7 days and is fading away. He has gone very quiet and no energy. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 8 years and 2 months old | 8 lbs

Poor Marley. He sounds very sick. I would strongly recommend to get him seen by your vet as soon as possible. There is a chance that he may have something going on that could be fixed or at least given something to help entice his appetite and make him feel better. If he has something really serious going on that is either unable to be fixed or there are too many cost concerns, you may consider humane euthanasia. I know this is a very difficult time but it is always best to consider his quality of life and suffering in times like this. I hope that he has something that can be fixed easily and you won't have to make such a hard decision. Please know you are in my thoughts.
