My cat disappeared after a new cat was introduced. Is he okay?

I brought home an adult cat yesterday afternoon with me. But my other cat is not in good terms with him, he just hissed at the new cat. I haven't seen him since last night dinner. It's now afternoon here and still my cat's not here. He never skipped meals.

Hi, I am sorry to hear that your cat has gone missing. It does happen that adult cats don’t tolerate new cats, even if they appear in the neighbourhood, let alone under the same roof. Cats are solitary hunters in nature and they retain this characteristic even when domesticated. They can create bonds with other cats especially if introduced as kittens. Hope this helps !
