My cat peed on the bed after a stress collar. Is it a bad reaction?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 11 months and 14 days old | 10 lbs

So today I went out to buy my cat a stress relieving collar (pet armor ) with scent of chamomile he seemed to not be bothered by it but within 5 minutes he peed on my bed which he never does can the collar be affecting him in a bad way? I decided to take it off him because I’m afraid it’ll cause any health issues

It is interesting that you put the collar on Chandler, and then he peed on the bed. I'm thinking that maybe he hates the collar, and him peeing on the bed is an act of defiance and letting you know he doesn't like that. Cats can do that sometimes. My brother had a girlfriend our cat HATED with a passion, and whenever he went out with her and came home, the cat would pee on his clothes or anything else that smelled like her. I'd keep the collar off of him for now to see if that stops the behavior. I hope this helps.
