Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 27 days old | 16 lbs
Why does my Australian Sheppard eat his poop. I tried giving him coprophagia and it doesnt seem to work. What can I do to stop this.

This is a very common behavior, some dogs just like the taste. It can also be a sign of intestinal worms or a nutritional deficiency, so make sure Max is up to date on his deworming treatments and feed him a high quality puppy food. The best way to stop this is to pick up his poop right after he goes, then he doesn't have access to it. I hope this helps!

I would recommend using a spray bottle and spritz him in the face whenever he does this or use a shock collar and use the low setting to startle him every time he goes after poop. This will hopefully deter this behavior. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
