Hi my 14 week old Rottweiler puppy got into some hummus a couple of days ago which I found contained garlic so I did some research and kept an eye on her and she's seemed fine expect she's had really bad diarrhea sense last night and I was just wondering if you think the garlic could be the cause and if I should be concerned

Fatty foods like hummus can definitely cause GI upset and diarrhea, even without the garlic. I would keep an eye on Amorie, and if the diarrhea doesn't resolve in a few days, or she seems to be getting worse, bring her into the vet, especially if there was also a large amount of garlic in the food. Sometimes, fatty foods can cause issues such as pancreatitis which can lead to symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, tender belly, blood in the vomit or stool, etc, which should be seen by a vet.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It is a very small amount of garlic probably that is contained in the hummus so this is unlikely to cause any issues. Watch for any signs of possible toxicity like gastrointestinal issues, lethargy and/or exercise tolerance. If any of these are observed, have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!
