My sweet pea drools a lot when he wakes up and during his sleep. I noticed his drool was dripping from his mouth, and I wiped his mouth. He stopped doing it for a few minutes and started back doing it. I tilted his head a little to see what was in his mouth, he threw up all his dog food. Should I be concerned?

Hello, thank you for your question about Spaz. Excessive drooling is often a sign of nausea in dogs, which would go hand in hand with the vomiting. Vomiting can be a sign of many possible underlying causes such as problems within the GI tract (ingestion of foreign material, inflammation, infection) or systemic disease. Since Spaz only had one episode of vomiting so far you could continue to monitor him for any further episodes of vomiting or other symptoms. If the vomiting continues or Spaz develops any additional symptoms I would recommend having him seen by a veterinarian. They can examine him and discuss the need for additional diagnostics such as systemic bloodwork or abdominal x-rays. Hope this helps, good luck!
