Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 11 months old | 13 lbs
My dog; she’s a female 2 year old dog going on 3 feb, 28th, 2019 and every time I bring my hand near her neck/back area or just slightly touch it she wags her tail abruptly and raises her back..I’ve searched up on IVDD but I don’t want to just come to conclusions.

Hello, thank you for your question about Paris. Based on the symptoms that you are describing I would be concerned that she could be experiencing mild neck/back pain. Neck/back pain can be secondary to many different causes, with IVDD (intervertebral disc disease) being one of the more common in Shih Tzus. I would recommend having Paris seen by your veterinarian so that they can examine her and try to localize the source of her pain. Based on their findings they can discuss the need for pain medication or any additional diagnostics. Hope this helps, good luck!
