Can I contract roundworms from a puppy who had them and is gone?

So my puppy had roundworms. We were given deworming powder and he got the last one last night. We no longer have him but, can we contract the worms?? Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered

Round worms are most commonly contracted from walking around barefoot outside and if you step in feces or fecal residue. I would try to pick up his stool outside and I would not walk around barefoot outside. I hope this helps.
