Is it safe for my cat to have a little vanilla almond milk sometimes?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 3 years old | 7 lbs

I discovered (purely by accident) that my cats like vanilla almond milk. I know they’re not supposed to drink regular milk, but I’m not sure about almond milk. Would it be bad for them if i gave them a little bit in a dish sometimes?

Almond milk isn’t toxic, and a small amount would be okay occasionally. Some cats have sensitive stomachs and anything outside of their normal food can cause diarrhea. I also wouldn’t recommend giving any milk with sugar or other sweeteners.
