Pet's info: Dog | Flat-Coated Retriever | Male | neutered | 9 months and 8 days old | 55 lbs
Hi. My dog had a wellness exam about 2 weeks ago and was determined to be healthy. He started drooling after he napped yesterday, and now drools after he sleeps (hes never drooled before). He doesnt appear to be distressed. Hes an 8 month old flatcoat. Should I be worried?

Drooling can be a sign of nausea or dental problems. Since Gideon is otherwise fine, I'd keep an eye on him for now. If the drooling continues over the next 24-48 hours, then I'd have him checked out by a vet. I hope this helps!

Poor Gideon. Since this is a new development, I would definitely have him checked out. This could be normal for him as he is maturing but it could also be due to an infection or an upset stomach. Nausea can cause drooling. Your vet will be able to determine if anything is going on and put him on some meds if needed to help him feel better. I hope this helps and he starts to feel better really soon!
