My puppy is hurting my other dog. How do I stop the biting now?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 18 days old | 5 lbs

So my 9 week old puppy pitbull is in his playing phase and doesn't realize how strong he is and is hurting my 3 year old bulldog Chihuahua. How do I get him to stop because he's leaving marks where his teeth are breaking the skin making her bleed. Please help!!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your dogs. I recommend keeping Titan separate from your other dog any time they are unsupervised. When you can watch them, allow them to play. At the first sign the older dog is becoming uncomfortable, then separate the dogs again. Redirect Titan to a toy or something positive to play with instead of the other dog. I hope this information helps!
