Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | unneutered | 9 years old | 18 lbs
My shih tzu is showing signs of illness that I’m having trouble diagnosing. He’s 9 years old. He’s been eating and drinking normally, he could be eating more if I’m honest. No sickness or diarrhoea. Stool is soft to firm. His personality is normal however he’s lacking energy levels. Behaviour has changed and has become restless. He isn’t a natural scavenger so I trust he hasn’t eating anything that’s I’m not aware of! His back legs are keeping tucked into his stomach and reluctant to jump/move.

Poor Snoop. His reluctance to move and lack of energy makes me worry that he may be in pain. Orthopedic problems usually present as slight behavior changes as you described. He could've possibly hurt his hindlimbs or spine. I'd highly recommend having him seen by a veterinarian for an orthopedic examination and physical exam. They can help isolate the origin of his discomfort if present.
