Why is my dog's underarm irritated? Is it winter or allergies?

Our dog has been having irritation under her front legs for the last month or so. Diet has not changed. She had been using g the same harness for about 6 months and never had issues previously. Could it be the dryness of. Winter? It seems to clear up for a day or 2 and come back. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 8 months old | 19 lbs

Poor Luna! This definitely could be from the weather or if she is licking it, it could be anxiety. I would make sure she isn't licking it a lot. If so, I would put a cone collar on her to prevent it from coming back and also to help break the habit of her licking. You can try Benadryl twice a day and also spraying it with a Benadryl or cortisone spray to help it heal. If it isn't improving or if continues to come back, I would have your vet take a look at it to ensure it isn't infected.
