Why is my dog acting weird and has a stringy thing from his anus?

A long string like thing came out of my dogs anus and he is acting weird. Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 9 days old | 2 lbs

Hi there. It looks like Bandit had either some mucous or worms stuck to his feces when he pooped. I can't quite tell from your photo, but in either case I would recommend taking the sample to your veterinarian because Bandit will need either a dewormer or some GI medications. I hope that helps.
