My dog's foot wound reopens. How to heal it without constant bandages?

Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Male | 4 years and 8 months old

Trick has a graze on his foot which took nearly 6 weeks to heal and he was bandaged for at least 4 weeks it had hair on it and was healed I removed the bandage and the next day it was knocked open again and it keeps getting knocked he lays on the foot why is he able to open it so easily how can I stop this happening without bandaging him all the time he is on previcox and codeine

Poor Trick! I would see if there are any vets in your area that has a cold laser which can speed up healing. Unfortunately You will also want to keep it bandaged with a padding since he lays on it. I don't know of a better way to prevent this. If he will lay on a soft padded bedding, that may work. Unfortunately a lot of dog like concrete or hard surface to help keep them cool. It is likely reoccurring due to the pressure he is putting on it when he lays on that side. I hope this helps!
