i want to know what i can do at home regarding kidney issues, also, i was told i can use cbd or hemp oil. have not done that yet and not sure if will hurt her or nt. 70 pound lad/boarger. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 12 years and 6 months old | 69 lbs

As of yet, we have very little research on CBD oil in veterinary patients, so we cannot make any recommendations one way or the other about this product - we do not know what an appropriate dose might be, and if there are any potential health concerns or drug interactions in dogs. In addition, because it's a schedule 1 drug, it's illegal for us to prescribe or recommend. At home, you can give Shadow canned food and add water to it to get more moisture into her. Take her out frequently to urinate. You can also get a kidney formulated diet from her vet, which will help as well. Best of luck.
