Why is my dog restless, constantly changing her sleeping spot?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 5 months and 2 days old | 30 lbs

Daisy has a tendency to lay down somewhere then get up and lay down somewhere else and repeat that process like 5 times within a hour, she’s not whimpering in pain or anything What does this mean?

This is a very good question, and can sometimes be a sign of discomfort/ pain or anxiety. If it continues, or if you notice any changes in Daisy's appetite, energy, urination, defecation, I recommend having her seen by a veterinarian to help rule out any discomfort .

It’s always difficult to say what might be wrong when a dog is displaying unusual behavior. Daisy could be feeling painful or nauseous, or there could be something she heard that made her feel anxious. She could also be perfectly fine. If you feel something is wrong it would be best to have her examined by a vet.
