There are many reasons why Koko could be vomiting. It can range from parasites to Parvo. It’s impossible to know what the cause is without a detailed history, a physical exam and testing for parasites and viruses. Puppies don’t have the reserves that adults and they do dehydrate and can have problems with low blood sugar which can be fatal if not treated. I recommend to have Koko visit his veterinarian to be examined. Feeding Koko a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken and boiled white plain rice can help to settle the tummy. Smaller, more frequent meals are also easier on the tummy. I hope he starts feeling better quickly! Please feel free to post any additional questions.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Koko! The blood in the vomit is from ulceration or irritation of the stomach lining. Since Koko is now vomiting blood and it has been 2 days I would recommend a vet exam, blood work, a fecal and X-rays of his belly. Causes of vomiting are: intestinal parasites, viral or bacterial infections, pancreatitis, food allergy or intolerance, ate something that is disagreeing with him, foreign body ingestion (something is stuck and needs surgery to remove). I hope this helps and I wish Koko a speedy recovery!
