My dog is breathing heavily and gagging. Should I take him to the vet?

My dog is breathing really heavily and gagging for about 10 minutes now

That's not good! Zeus could be in pain or have a severe illness. My big concern here is the breathing issues, as that can lead to respiratory distress. I think it's best he sees a vet now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.
