My bulldog's eye is red and cloudy. Should I take him to the vet?

I have a bulldog who is just over a year old and fit and health. However about 2 weeks ago his eyes became red and sore looking and had a cloudy blueish tiny to both eyes over night, which disappeared within a day or two. Today it has returned in one eye what could this be and should I go to vets with him tomorrow? Pet's info: Dog | English Bulldog | Male | unneutered | 118 lbs
