Will warm water remove cat flea treatment or just spread it?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | 5 years and 9 months old

I used the bob Martin cat flea treatment and I tried to get it off as soon as I read the reviews with warm water but I don’t have cat shampoo and I’m not sure how to get rid it of. Will just warm water be enough to get rid of it or will it just be spreading it more?

You can use Dawn dish soap to get it off. If you don't have that, a long warm water bath should get most of it off but it may not get all of it depending on how long it was on before you washed Princess. That's why I recommended waiting two weeks before applying another flea treatment to be safe.
