My kitten isn't eating all his food. Is he full or just picky?

How can I know if my kitten likes his food, or if he just isn't that hungry? I feed my kitten 1/4th cup of dry food twice daily and he doesn't ever finish the whole 1/4th cup. He is four months old and his vet says he is at a healthy weight but I am concerned that he is not eating enough. The food he is currently eating is what the shelter we got him from was feeding him as well. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 4 months and 4 days old | 4.5 lbs

If your vet says Calcifer is at a healthy weight, then I wouldn't worry. It sounds like he is eating what he needs, and he's stopping when he's full. That's good because you don't want him to overeat. Best of luck.
