My kitten is sneezing, congested, and breathing fast. Is it serious?

Pet's info: Cat | Scottish Striaght Longhair | Male | neutered

My kitten is about 5 months old, I just got him a week ago from a lady that works at a vetinary clinic. Since he’s been with me he’s been nothing but perfect! I am a little concerned because he has been sneezing frequently and sounds a little congested. But he doesn’t have goopy eyes, runny nose or diarrhea. He’s been eating a little less than when I first got him, but always gets excited for food! Im also a little concerned about his respritory rate which is about 36 breaths per minute.

I would call your veterinarian in the morning to get Flynn looked at. He may just have an upper respiratory infection but it can quickly develop into pneumonia. Your veterinarian can listen to Flynn's lungs. They can then prescribe medication as needed. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
