Why is my 7-month-old kitten sick, can't walk, and barely moving?

My 7 month old kitten has been acting sick these past two day this morning when I seen him he was laying in the dirt and my boyfriend picked him up and put him back down and he couldn’t walk. Then I pick him up and held him in my lap and he pushed him self out of my lap and just fell on the ground not moving his body he’s laying down now can barely pick up his head and is swaying his tail a little bit. Any idea what could be going in? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 7 months and 11 days old | 5 lbs

It sounds like Salem is very sick and he needs to see the veterinarian immediately. Not being able to walk is serious. Toxins, trauma, and viral infections are all possible but it’s impossible to know what the cause is with out an exam and likely diagnostics.
