Why is my dog vomiting foamy fluid, not eating, and lethargic?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 2 years and 2 months old | 70 lbs

For the past day or so our dog rockie has not been eating much and when he drinks water he started vomiting clear/ yellowish foamy fluid. He seems not his playful self just laying around. He does have a wet nose “ not sure if that’s good or not” and doesn’t seem to be in any pain. Is there a dog “flu” that he might have. I’m worried now the he is not drinking water.

The wet nose isn't a problem, but it is a concern that Rockie isn't eating and vomiting whenever he is drink gin water. He also sounds lethargic. He could have a severe GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, could have a foreign body, or could have pancreatitis. His symptoms indicate he is quite sick, and he needs to see a vet now. Please take him into one immediately. Best of luck.
