That looks like a tumor on Zzzz. Any red, raised masses need to be checked out and aspirated by your veterinarian. While several benign tumors can looks this way, there is a maliganant tumor called a Mast Cell Tumor which can also look like this. Aspirating the mass is the only way to know if it is cancerous and needs to be removed. Also keep your pet from licking at it as this could lead to infection. An Elizabethan collar worn at all times will help. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions.

I recommend to have Bentley’s mass checked out by the veterinarian. Any time you have a red, raised hairless mass there is always a concern for a cancer called a Mast Cell Tumor. This cancer normally affects older dogs but I have seen it in an 8 months dog before. The doctor will need to take a sample of cells and look under the microscope to determine what it is. There’s also a tumor called a histiocytoma and it looks exactly the same to the naked eye. It is benign but you need to know for sure. Keep him from licking at it with an Elizabethan collar. Licking can cause an infection. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions.
