Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | 6 years and 9 months old | 16.3 lbs
Fatboy had constipation he had a enema he was pooping 42 hours to 50 still having problem so we are now giving him miralax vet okay it hes now pooping 24 to 34 hours with miralax and they are a long solid poop better then before just little pieces we are giving him 1/8 twice a day so can we stop giving him miralax he been getting it for a month or do we need to continue and is there any effects from long term use what should we do

It's probably best to continue to give the Miralax long term unless your vet thinks there was something specific that was causing Fatboy's constipation that has now resolved. It is considered safe to give Miralax long term. Since your vet knows all the particulars of Fatboy's medical condition best I would recommend checking with them to see if they think he should continue the Miralax or if you should try weaning him off of it.
