Why is my 10-year-old dog constipated, not eating, pacing, and clingy?

My girl dog is 10 years old has been constipated and not eating much she also has been pacing around. She has had a bowel movement but only 1 a day and she normally does 2 she stains so hard for just a little bit. She has been really clingy. What would cause this? She has a history of MCT and she does have a couple more she has never acted this way before. Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Female | spayed | 9 years and 10 months old | 68 lbs

Dehydration can be a cause of constipation in dogs. Give Honey canned food and add water to it. Lack of exercise can be a problem, so I'd take her for a walk. Too little fiber in the diet is another cause, and you can add a tablespoon of canned pumpkin puree (no pumpkin pie filling) to her food. Other causes include a foreign body, blocked or abscessed anal sacs, or GI tumors. Having her checked out by a vet for a health check is a good idea. Best of luck.
