My puppy has an open sore with green pus and fleas. What to do?

My puppy has what looks like and open sore with green pus on the hair around it, she also has fleas at the moment. I'm scheduling a vet appointment now, but could someone try to identify what this is and how I can help in the mean time? I gave her a hot bath, cut the hair around the sore, and put neosporin on it. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | unspayed | 11 months and 9 days old

Is there any chance she could have been bitten by another pet? This can result in a similar wound. She will likely need oral antibiotics. Her veterinarian will assess the wound. If it is superficial, it can be managed with antibiotics and possibly a cleansing solution. Deep wounds sometimes need surgery. Do not allow her to scratch the area if at all possible.
