My duck has a swollen foot. Is it bumblefoot? Do I need to separate?

Pet's info: Farm Animal | Farm Chicken | Female | unspayed | 10 lbs

Here is my duck lizzy maybe someone can look and see if this is bumblee foot? And its just her and a male do i still separate them?

Hello. It certainly can be bumblefoot, but that is just a catch all description of any swelling/infection in the food of a bird. I do not see the need to separate them unless the male is just relentlessly chasing her around. A veterinarian can look at the foot, & if it is bumblefoot, the lesion can be opened & any of the thick, caseous material removed. Once the foot heals, Lizzy should be much more comfortable & ready to go back with her companion. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
