I would call your veterinarian in the morning and make an appointment. I don't recommend just monitoring when it comes to eyes. Your veterinarian will be able to determine if this is viral, bacterial, allergies or a scratch. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor guy! I would take him to the Vet. When it comes to eye issues I always recommend that the eye be examined as soon as possible. The redness and excessive tearing indicates pain. Possibilities are: scratch on the cornea, viral or bacterial conjunctivitis, uveitis, or glaucoma. I wish you both the best!
