Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | spayed | 5.3 lbs
Hi, I have a 9yo Yorkie, recently diagnosed with adenocarcinoma and recovering from an anastomoses surgery about a 1.5 months ago. Yesterday at the dog park, a kid accidentally kicked/stepped on her side/foot. She yelped loudly but seemed fine, however this morning she yelped a little when touched and seems to be in a little discomfort. There is no limping, shivering, or obvious injury. Her appetite, alertness, & B.M appear normal. Should I rush her to the vets or continue monitoring her?

I think you could continue to monitor her but if she seems painful againit would be best to see your vet. Since it’s been 1.5 months since her surgery she should be fully healed and I wouldn’t have any specific concerns about internal injuries because of the surgery.
