My niece's dog is a Shih Tzu mix, she's around 10 to 15 pounds, she's 5 years and 7 months old. My question is can she be spayed at that age? Cause my niece is taking her to be spayed in a few days. She doesn't seem to have any health problems. My niece does not take her to the vet normally unless she's showing a health problem. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 5 years and 7 months old | 15 lbs

As long as her heart and internal organs are functioning normally, complications are not expected (but just like anything, there is always a small risk with any procedure).
