My cat licked lime juice. Is a small amount toxic? Will she be okay?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 8 months and 22 days old | 8 lbs

Hi, i was cutting limes and my cat licked my fingers that had lime juice on them. i was worried if she will be ok since limes are toxic to cats. How much lime juice is toxic? thank you so much im just worried if shes going to be ok.

A small amount of lime juice should not cause any problems except potentially a little drooling/ gastrointestinal upset. It is usually the skin and oils from citrus fruit that can cause toxicity.     Thank you for contacting Pet Coach with your question about Nala. I would take her into a vet now to get checked out. Limes are toxic to dogs, and can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy. Have her seen by a vet now to be safe. Best of luck.
