Kitten has yellow diarrhea & irritated anus. Is it cheap food or infection?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 5 lbs

1 have 2 kittens. 1 is has normal stools. The one in question has a very irritated anus and very very loose stools. Yellowish in color. He doesnt seem to be in any pain unless you mess with it. I had them on a very very cheap food and I'm afraid that's what caused his reaction. I was thinking if it was a parasite or bacterial infection the other cat would have it?

Ouch, poor Squier! His anus does look very irritated. It could be that he has problems with intestinal worms even if the other kitten doesn't show signs. It could also be a GI illness or something he ate. I'd take him into the vet in the morning to get checked out. Best of luck.
