My dog has red spots in ear, scratching. How to help until vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 3 years and 4 months old

Hello, I noticed today when I woke up that my dog, Luna, has these little red spots in her ear and that she keeps scratching jer ears and shaking her head, she seems very uncomfortable. The only vet in my city is not opened today. What do you think her condition is and is there anything I can do to help her feel better until tomorrow?

I would try to give her some benadryl to make her more comfortable. You coudl put a little Neosporin on the area, just be careful to not get it down in the canals. If she is still messing with it tomorrow, I would have your vet take a look at them. I hope this helps! https://www.petcoach.co/canigive/dog/benadryl/#
