My Boxer hit her head. Why is she wobbly, vomiting, and not eating?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Female | unspayed | 4 years and 9 months old | 65 lbs

My boxer hit her head hard on Sat & got up all wobbly & vomitted. Then on Sunday, we had decided a vet chk first thing in the morning Monday wouldnt hurt...but Sunday evening she had a pretty severe allergic reaction to something & we went to er vet who treated allergic reaction & said her exam was good. She has not had an appetite or been able to hold down food since her head injury! She jumped from our bed to the floor & didnt land right on our hardwood floors & hit head on wall.

It sounds like she may have done some damage when she hit her head. An examination could still be fairly normal though. It could be that she has a mild concussion but there are certainly more serious possibilities. I would take her back for a more focussed neuro exam and she possibly may need an MRI scan to know more.
