Why does my dog have a bloody, jelly-like open hole on his back?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 2 years and 1 month old | 40 lbs

Dog has a bumb on his bad I noticed it was bloody and when I looked at it it had a think clear ish jelly like stuff on it and when I cleaned it it looks just like a open hole on his back this is his 2nd one

Weird! This looks like a small puncture wound from playing outside or with another animal or could be from where a tick was previously located or a minor spider or bug bite. Without seeing it in person, it is difficult to say for sure. First, I would make sure he is unable to lick it. If he can, I would put a cone collar on him to prevent this or it will never heal. You can also put a little Neosporin on it twice a day to help it heal. If it has any pus coming from it or it isn't healing, I would have your vet take a look to ensure he doesn't need any oral antibiotics or other treatment. I hope this helps!
