What are these hard, black, yellow bumps on my bunny's scent glands?

Hello, my bunny rabbit has wierd bumps on bouth sides in his scent glance, it feels hard to the touch, when i sqeez it gently yellowish stuff comes out, and and skin under it is black, my vet said its normal, he is a happy bunny eating pooping and it dosent hurt when i touch it, but it something that wasn't there before and im worried

Thanks for reaching out about Bunshushu. What you are describing sounds like peri-rectal scent glands. The black tarry accumulation is often the oil from the gland and can be gently cleaned with a warm wet washcloth. The yellowish discharge is probably front the scent gland also, and can be normal. Keep an eye on it. Contact your veterinarian again if you continue to be concerned. Good luck.
