Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Pinscher | Male | neutered | 17 lbs
I have a miniature pinscher mix. He is 1 year old. I recently started noticing that he has lost hair under his ears symmetrically on both sides. Just started happening in the winter. Is this anything to be concerned about? There has been no change in behaviour or itching

If Louie has a dilute coat color (blue) then it could be normal for him - some dogs with dilute coats will lose hair on their ears, head and back. If the skin seems red or if there are small scabs or a rash then allergies or external parasites could also be possible. I'd recommend having your vet examine him to make sure there is no evidence of dermatologic disease.
