A basic cleaning may cost as much as $500. Costs will vary depending on several factors including location, clinic, severity of dental disease, size of the patient and whether or not dental x-rays and extractions are required. Your veterinarian can perform the procedure. You can contact the clinic and request an estimate for services. Most will provide one as a matter of hospital policy.

Your best option is to call around your local veterinary clinics for an estimate of a dental cleaning- prices will vary by clinic, and may change depending on if your dog needs additional services such as X-rays or tooth extractions in addition to the cleaning. Many clinics also often have a discount dental month, or other special, so seeing if you can wait until then, or have a discount applied, may make the cost more affordable for you.
