Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 6 years and 1 month old | 8 lbs
My orange six year old tabby cat constantly licks me, her other tabby brother, or herself and will continue for 10-20 minutes. i’m afraid she’s stressed or has an anxiety disorder. she’s an inside cat and will always follow me around constantly. she’s always attached to my hip and lays in my bed along side me. i don’t know how to help and how to make her more comfortable. i just want her to get better. she’s not fixed yet. Is her licking constantly and being close to me a sign of a disorder?

If she is licking you more often when she is in heat, then it's possible that spaying her could help with the behavior. If Samantha licks year round, then it's possible that she does have some stress or anxiety, or she may simply be an affectionate cat. 10-20 minutes of grooming herself or her brother doesn't seem particularly unusual to me and I wouldn't necessarily think this is an indication of stress or anxiety unless she is also showing other signs of being upset like pinning ears, running and hiding, or swishing her tail. You could always try a pheromone diffuser like Feliway to help with anxiety.
