Is my female cat's black vagina normal? Could she be pregnant?

Is it normal for a female cat to have a black colored vagina, ive nevered “looked”. I was told it is a sign of pregnancy, she did escape a few hours on christmas. She HATES a crate or to be carried so getting her to the car / vets is the worse. And she wont be the same room with me for days after. Please tell me if this normal or if i need to take her vets. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 4 years and 1 month old | 6 lbs

The color of the vulva does not change with pregnancy (I don't think you would be able to see your cat's vagina). It can be normal for there to be dark pigmented skin on the vulva. If there is dark colored discharge that would not be normal and you should see your vet. If Blaze seems to be gaining weight, if you notice her nipples are more prominent or pink in color she may be pregnant, but at this point it might still be difficult to tell. A vet would probably be able to do an ultrasound and detect kittens at this point.
