Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 1 year and 5 months old | 11 lbs
My kitty Sammy is 1 1/2 years old. I’ve had him since he was 3 months old. Would another kitty be good for Sammy? He seems bored inspite of toys and times I play with him. As a kitten I held and loved on him often. I miss he doesn’t like being held, bored with new toys even. When we play sometimes he doesn’t get involved in our playing. Eats well. Seems scared easily. Don’t know why. He use to be much more vocal talking to me frequently but much less last 2-3 months. Indoor only. Thanks

This all sounds like normal behavior for an older cat - as they become adults they are often less interested in playing and cuddling. I doubt a new kitten would make Sammy more likely to play or cuddle, and it can sometimes be difficult to introduce a new cat into the house depending on the personality of your cat. Sometimes it goes great and the old cat enjoys the new cats companionship and other times it can cause stress and make an anxious cat feel more anxious.
