My rabbit's leg is injured. Can she recover without a vet visit?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female

I don't know how exactly this happened to my rabbit, but yesterday when it went out of of its cage and play, something happened with her left leg. Now she couldnt use her other leg, shes just lifting her other leg to hop. Im not sure if its a spinal injury or if her bone dislocated... i just wanna know if she could get better by herself since animal has its own ability to cure or, should i go to vet as soon as i can? and will it be safe to bring her around with her damaged leg?

Thanks for reaching out about Poppy and including photos.. Yes, you should see a veterinarian as dislocations or fractures, will unlikely heal well on their own, and are definitely painful. The caging is inappropriate, as it is a bird cage. The bars are too far apart and limbs/feet can get caught. Good luck.
